Funding of Madarsas in Uttarakhand to be probed! Wherever illegal funding is found, there will be a lock!

The police and district administration have become active on the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami regarding the illegal running of madrassas and their funding in Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister has ordered verification of all madrassas in the state and an investigation into the activities taking place in them. For this, special committees have been formed under the chairmanship of the district magistrate, which will submit their report within a month.Uttarakhand Police spokesperson and IG Dr Nilesh Anand Bharne said that the verification and funding of madrassas will be investigated. It will also be seen whether foreign or outstation children are being taught in madrassas. He said that this step has been taken so that any kind of illegal activities can be stopped.A district-level core committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the District Collector in this regard. The committee comprises officials from the police, education department, madrasa board and other departments concerned. The committee will examine all madrassas and submit its report to the government within a month. Mufti Shamoon Qasmi, chairman of the Uttarakhand Madarsa Board, said that a total of 416 madarsas in the state are affiliated to the Madarsa Board. However, there are many madrassas in the state which are running without recognition.
